Singapore Catholic Tamil Migrant Community(TMC)

The Singapore Catholic Tamil Migrant Community is a vital and growing part of the Church’s mission to serve all people, especially those far from home. This community, made up of Tamil-speaking migrant workers and individuals, receives spiritual and pastoral care through the Archdiocesan Commission for Tamil-speaking (ACTS) in close collaboration with the Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants & Itinerant People (ACMI).

To recognize, address, and support the spiritual and social needs of Tamil-speaking migrant brothers and sisters in Singapore.

Mission

Guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church, we are committed to working for the common good and upholding the dignity of every Tamil-speaking migrant in Singapore.

Pastoral care

ACTS provides Regular Tamil-language Masses, prayer meetings, and faith formation sessions

Partner Programs

Casework and counseling, referral to various organisations, free legal Assistance.

Service

Building faith communities that foster fellowship, leadership, and integration into parish life

Social care

counselling, skills training, and social support offered through ACMI’s services

Traditional

Celebration of major liturgical feasts, especially the Good Friday live enacted play and Feast of Our Lady of Velankanni, is deeply rooted in Tamil Catholic tradition

TAMIL GOOD NEWS PRAYER GROUP (TGN) தமிழ் நற்செய்தி செபக்குழு

The Tamil Good News (TGN) Prayer Group is supported by the Archdiocesan Commission for Tamil-Speaking (ACTS) and functions under the direct supervision of the Spiritual Director. The ministry is led by Tamil migrants who organize spiritual events and outreach programmes for their fellow brothers and sisters. The group is also represented on the ACTS Council by two of its members, ensuring the voice of the community is heard and valued at the archdiocesan level.

  • Full night Vigil (In Tamil)
    • on the first Saturday of every month 9 pm until 5.30 am (Sunday), at Fr Damien Hall – Blessed Sacrament Church – Commonwealth. The night vigil comprising of Rosary, Holy Mass(Sunday), Confession, Eucharistic adoration, Word of God, Intercession prayers, Divine Mercy and Praise&Worship .
  • Divine Mercy intercessory prayers and Praise & Worship.
    • Every Tuesday : 9 to 10 pm ( via Zoom )
  • Novena Rosary and House Visit Prayers with St Josephs Prayer Group(BSC)
    • July to September Months
